East Feliciana Arrests Today
The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office posts no page labeled 24-hour arrests, recent bookings, or daily report. Its official Parish Prison page links straight to the current East Feliciana Parish Prison roster. That roster answers a narrower question. It shows who is in custody now. It is not limited to people arrested within a rolling day.
The mix inside explains why. The prison holds parish pretrial detainees, probation and parole holds, and some Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections offenders. Older arrests can linger. A same-day arrest may not appear yet. A release can erase a name fast. And the arresting agency can differ from the booking facility, particularly when Jackson, Clinton, or Slaughter police made the arrest.
Check East Feliciana Arrests
Start with the custody system. The East Feliciana LAVNS roster opens behind an agreement screen. Accept it to reach the live controls. There you get "Show All," an A-to-Z filter, a last-updated timestamp, and a link to register for custody changes.
- Open the EFPSO prison page and follow its roster link instead of a copied result.
- Read the agreement and the update time. Use “Show All” or the first-letter filter.
- Compare the name with date of birth, gender, and race. A name alone can point to the wrong person.
- If no result appears, call the EFPSO 24-hour non-emergency line at 225-683-5459.
- For the source record, send a certified letter to “Public Records Request,” P.O. Box 207, Clinton, LA 70722.
Ask for the person's booking summary by name. Give the date or a short range too. If city police made the arrest, request the municipal report as a separate record. The jail summary documents intake. The police report documents the arresting agency's own event, and the East Feliciana Parish recent arrests hub explains the wider records and court path.
Same-Day Arrest Search Fields
With no daily feed, no official 24-hour field set exists. The table splits published roster fields from details that require a booking summary or court file.
| Field | Where to check | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Current LAVNS roster | Confirm with more than a name match |
| Date of birth, gender, race | LCLE-described roster fields | The interface can change |
| Arrest date | Older snapshot | Not guaranteed in the current view |
| Booking time | EFPSO booking summary | Arrest and intake times may differ |
| Agency and charges | Summary, police report, court file | Charges can change or be dismissed |
| Bond and court date | Jail or Clerk record | Not verified roster fields |
| Photograph | Separate lawful request | No routine photo field verified |
Louisiana Code of Criminal Procedure article 228 requires prompt booking. It also requires a booking-information summary. Core fields include the legal name, charges, arresting person, a short account, and date and time. Booking books and summaries are open to inspection. Confidentiality rules still apply. Juvenile matters and sealed records stay private. The later disposition lives in the Twentieth Judicial District court record held by the East Feliciana Parish Clerk.
East Feliciana Roster Quirks
The public roster sits behind an agreement click. An agency warning bars unauthorized copying or publication. Louisiana's Commission on Law Enforcement says the jail-roster system refreshes every 30 minutes. That interval promises little. Police action, transport, jail acceptance, intake, record entry, and transfer to the public display are all separate steps.
No persistence period is published. A release, transfer, booking elsewhere, protected record, or correction can explain a missing name. The state roster supports name, date of birth, gender, and race, and an older snapshot also showed arrest date.
The official roster interface displays those live entry controls. No official source guarantees charges, bond, court date, booking number, or a photo on the public view.

The official screen shows entry controls, not a gallery of arrested people. Photo availability is its own legal question. Louisiana's current booking-photo law restricts when law enforcement may hand out an image. A missing photo doesn't erase the arrest record.
When New Arrests Lag
No delay figure is published. The roster timestamp is the closest freshness signal. It cannot measure transport, fingerprinting, data review, identity resolution, or a quick release, so read each source by the custody state it covers.
- Just booked
- Intake may still be underway when the roster refreshes.
- In custody
- The live roster or LA VINE may show a current holding agency.
- Released or transferred
- The roster entry may vanish while agency and court records remain.
- State custody
- A sentenced person may move to Louisiana DPS&C systems.
Call EFPSO when results stay unclear. Ask who holds the booking summary. Ask as well whether the person is presently held at East Feliciana Parish Prison, since that office answers live custody questions directly. A news story will not settle it.
Note: The refresh interval is not a guaranteed maximum delay for an arrest, release, transfer, or correction.
Sheriff App Is Not Arrest Feed
The official EFPSO iOS app handles public-safety news. Crime tips and communication fill out its menu. Its listing promises no timed booking feed, jail search, or routine booking photos, and it warns the app is not for emergencies. Facebook gets a link from EFPSO's site. No booking-photo cadence appears there. A social post may explain one safety event, but it never replaces the roster, a booking summary, or a disposition. The official parish prison source gives the jail context and links to the custody system.

The jail's broader scope explains why its roster goes beyond a simple daily arrest list.
Booking Charges Are Accusations
An arrest record shows one thing clearly: law enforcement took a person into custody. Booking follows the arrest and logs the details of that event. The charge listed at booking can shift once a prosecutor looks at the facts or a court takes up the case.
Identity is the other thing worth checking carefully. Two people can share a name. Spelling drift, aliases, and partial birth dates make false matches easy. Compare every roster field you can, then ask the records custodian for the source document. An arrest that began in Clinton, Jackson, or Slaughter may exist in two places. One is the municipal police record. The other is the parish jail intake record. One office can confirm the event happened while another holds the booking summary itself.
After booking, the East Feliciana Parish Clerk's criminal file is where the case actually lives. Did the prosecutor file the same charge, alter it, or decline it? A roster entry cannot answer that. It says nothing about arraignment, the hearing where charges are formally addressed. Nor does it show a disposition, the later result. Custody today and a court outcome are simply different facts.
A same-day check answers one narrow question. Do official sources show a booking or custody event for this person? Absence from the roster proves nothing about why. Don't guess at outcomes either. For precise proof, pull the EFPSO booking summary and then the court record. Sealed, protected, or juvenile matters are different. Never guess from gaps in a public search.
